Samsung Internet Browser

A browser for everyday web use

Samsung Internet Browser is Samsung’s Android web browser for opening websites, managing tabs, watching online video and handling web forms and uploads. It suits Galaxy users who want a browser with privacy controls, viewing options and support for selected extensions, while also working as a general-purpose choice on Android phones.

Tools for browsing and tabs

The browser includes a Video Assistant for supported web video, a Dark Mode option and a customizable menu. Its tab manager offers a grid layout to make open pages easier to scan. You can also set unused tabs to close automatically after a chosen period, helping keep longer browsing sessions organized.

• Extensions: Add supported tools such as Translator and content blockers.
• Protected Browsing: Receive warnings before opening known malicious websites.
• Smart Anti-Tracking: Blocks storage access from domains identified as having cross-site tracking capability.
• Secret mode: Browse with an additional privacy-focused mode for sessions you do not want treated like regular browsing.

Useful across Samsung devices

On compatible Galaxy Watch models using Wear OS, Samsung Internet can provide tiles and complication support. On phones and tablets, webpages can request access to features such as the camera, microphone, location, nearby Bluetooth devices, photos, videos and files when a site needs them. Optional permissions remain separate from the app’s basic service.

Listed in Communication and developed by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Samsung Internet Browser has a 3.6 rating from more than 5.8 million reviews and 1 billion-plus installs. Those figures make it a familiar option for Android users, especially people already using Samsung devices and services.
